Aaron originally joined the team in 2007 and has become an expert in the Western BOP region undertaking the majority of his work in the residential, apartment and rural lifestyle markets. Aaron particularly enjoys valuing high end residential and is highly regarded within the Mount Maunganui market. When not working Aaron enjoys spending time with the family, at the beach and helping out on the side-line of the rugby field

Aarron joined PRP in September 2024 as a Director and oversees the Rodney-based office in Warkworth. Aarron holds a Bachelor of Property and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Economics, from the University of Auckland. He brings over 15 years’ experience in the property valuation industry and operates as a generalist valuer, with broad experience across residential, lifestyle, commercial, and industrial property valuations.

Aarron has a strong background in residential and lifestyle property valuation and is a bank-panel valuer for high-value property, regularly assessing significant assets in these sectors. His experience also extends to development land and multi-unit development project assignments, where he applies practical market knowledge and valuation expertise across a range of property types and valuation purposes.

Aarron also undertakes commercial valuations across the North Rodney and Mangawhai areas, providing advice for a range of purposes including market valuations, rent reviews, and insurance assessments.

Adam joined us in October 2018 after working in the farming industry. Since this time he has completed his Bachelor of Agribusiness majoring in Rural Valuation degree via distance study at Massey University, all while working full time and helping raise a young family! Now a registered Valuer, Adam specialises in all things Rural, covering the wider Bay of Plenty region and beyond. In his spare time Adam enjoys spending time with his young family, helping out on the family farm along with hunting and fishing.

Alex is our Managing Director, often referred to as “The Friendly Giant.” Alex commenced his Valuation career in Tauranga in 1997 and has practiced in the Western Bay of Plenty region ever since. Whilst Alex is still actively involved with overseeing the valuation and consultancy sides of the company, he is now more hands-on in the management of growing the business and the expansion of the PRP brand throughout New Zealand. Customer relationships have always been the part of the job that Alex enjoys the most. As part of this, he is passionate about ensuring that clients get the highest level of attention and care possible. Afterhours Alex is kept busy with a young family and he also enjoys catching up with friends and family.  Fishing and dive trips are favourites but aren’t as frequent as he would like!

Alex works in the Commercial Team coordinating the workflow and keeping the valuers on their toes – something she knows a lot about from her former life as a ballet teacher in Auckland. Alex has been part of the PRP team since 2019 and loves the fun and engaging office environment with no pink tights and leotards in sight. When she isn’t at work, Alex is busy studying business papers through Massey University and working on developing her new lifestyle property.

Cam joined the PRP Tauranga team in April 2024. He made his way up from Wellington after working at Stats NZ doing data and statistics. He is currently working towards becoming a Registered Valuer and will specialise in Commercial and Industrial property. Cam enjoys spending time with his young family, eating Vietnamese food, watching cricket and getting to the gym.

Chantelle works in the Commercial team and is the first point of contact for any commercial enquiries. Chantelle has worked for PRP since 2021 and originally comes from an insurance background. She is a ‘local girl’, born and bred in Tauranga and loves the flexibility that PRP gives her. Outside of work she likes to keep active and loves to get into the outdoors whenever she can – and currently holds the best baker award for birthday shouts!

Meet Chris Derksen, a Registered Commercial Valuer. Chris joined PRP Tauranga in 2018 as part of our internship programme and has gone on to become a Registered Valuer, specialising in all areas of commercial property valuation. Chris enjoys hacking his way around the golf course, heading down to Rotorua for some mountain biking and kicking back with his young family in the sun on Coromandel Beach Holidays.

Dylan joined the team in 2013 and became a Director of the company in 2016. Dylan specialises and is highly regarded and sought after in valuing horticultural property – particularly Kiwifruit. After PRP hours Dylan is kept ever busy sitting on a few boards in business areas he finds interesting and also with his own Kiwifruit orchards – which he couldn’t do without the help of his fantastic wife and growing family.

Meet Esmé, Assistant Valuer, in house green-thumb, and most importantly, mum to a beautiful toddler. Esmé was originally part of (the much smaller) Hills Haden crew and joined the PRP team again in 2017 after a 6-year stint working in Melbourne City as a Property Manager. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Business, majoring in Property via Massey University and will specialise in residential valuations once she has gained registration.

Greg is the Chief Executive Officer and a National Director within the Preston Rowe Paterson Group.
In his 10 years within the company, it has seen him focusing on the internal growth of existing franchisees and adding new franchisees in key targeted locations to assist in PRP’s international expansion as well as the enhancement of the PRP brand.

Meet Flynn, Assistant Valuer for the Residential team, Flynn has completed his Bachelor of Land and Property Management, majoring in Urban Valuation and Finance via Lincoln University and and returned to Tauranga to begin his valuation career with PRP. Growing up in Oropi, Flynn has a strong connection to the Bay of Plenty and he’s looking forward to contributing to the region through practical, high-quality valuation work. He’ll be developing specialist experience across residential, lifestyle, and development land, with the goal of working towards registration in 2028.

Flynn enjoys the hands-on side of valuation-getting out on site, understanding a property firsthand, and continually building his knowledge of the local market. He values PRP’s community-focused approach and is committed to providing reliable, well-considered advice to clients across the region.

Outside of work, Flynn lives a pretty active life where he has been involved in hockey for many years, he enjoy getting out for runs, and making the most of the Bay’s outdoor environment. You’ll usually find Flynn spending time with friends and family, out at the lakes surfing or wakeboarding, or squeezing in a round of golf.

Hannah joined the Rural team in 2023 after emigrating from England. She has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) since 2021. Through the reciprocal recognition agreement between the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, Hannah successfully completed the New Zealand valuer registration process in 2025.

Hannah brings a strong rural background, with a broad experience of rural valuation, complemented by hands-on farming experience. Outside of PRP, she and her husband are sharemilking a 250-cow dairy farm and contract milking a 400-cow dairy farm near Whakatāne, giving her a practical understanding of the rural sector and the challenges faced by farming clients.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her Huntaway, hiking and making the most of the outdoors.

Hilary is an integral and long-standing member of the team, working as an Administrator and Typist.  She joined the company back in 2002 when it was Hills Weller and subsequently becoming Hills Haden and then PRP in 2015.  She has seen amazing changes and growth in the company over the past 20 years.  She loves the vibrant office environment and also the flexibility afforded by the job. Outside of working hours she loves to travel, following most sports and spending time with the grandchildren.

Jason has been actively engaged in the valuation of residential, lifestyle, horticultural and commercial properties in Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty for over 20 years. When not at work, Jason can usually be found tending to his ‘Life-sentence’ block, including the myriad of tasks associated with the avocado orchard or his wife’s horses!

Jeremy joined the PRP Tauranga Team in 2022 and specialises in valuing commercial and industrial properties. He also has interest in more specialist valuations within the accommodation sector. Prior to joining PRP, Jeremy spent several years in the rating valuation industry in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty, where he gained registration in this time. Jeremy is the self-appointed president of the office social club and is very good at organising a good time to be had! In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys the outdoors and taking up any sport he can find time for.

As a general practitioner in commercial, industrial and residential markets, Louie undertakes a variety of valuation work including market valuations for mortgage security, financial reporting, rent reviews, insurance and compensation valuations as well as providing expert witness evidence for Courts and arbitration’s.

Malcolm has been part of the PRP Family since January 2016. He is an experienced Registered Valuer and specialises in all things Residential Property. Out of hours – you’ll find Malcolm hunting, fishing, or training for the next multisport event.

Marty joined the PRP Tauranga Team in April 2025 and specialises in valuing rural property throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. Prior to moving into private valuation Marty has over 9 years of rating valuation experience working across Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Auckland and Whangarei district councils. In his spare time, you’ll find Marty outdoors, skiing on the slopes during the winter months and mountain biking during the summer.

Matthew has been a registered valuer since 1985, building an extensive and diverse career in both valuation and finance. Over the years, his work has taken him across various locations in the North Island.

Now based in Warkworth, Matthew has devoted the last 20 years to specialising in the valuation of rural properties within the North Rodney and southern Kaipara District regions. In addition to his rural expertise, Matthew is highly experienced in handling residential and lifestyle property assignments, providing clients with comprehensive valuation services.

Meet Matt Fenton, the team leader of our dynamic commercial valuation team at PRP Tauranga. Matt is involved with all things commercial, covering a wide range of asset classes including post-harvest facilities, large scale industrial assets, commercial property and development projects. Matt joined us in 2017 after 9 years’ of travelling around the world as a Chief Officer on superyachts. Matt holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Valuation and Property Management and brings a practical and logical approach to asset valuation. When not in the office, Matt loves spending time with his young family and when time allows, he can be found following or partaking in the many sports he loves – such as fishing, mountain biking, golf, motorsport to name just a few.

Meet Misty who has worked in the Rural and Commercial support team since 2016 and calls PRP family. She feels she is lucky to be part of such a professional but fun team and finds her job extremely rewarding. She has come from the other side of the world with an Insurance and Marketing background but has finally found her calling in property. When she isn’t working her flexible hours, she is kept on her toes as a mum to 3 boys who love rugby, rugby and rugby – think the next 3 brothers in the All Blacks!

Mitchell has 15 years experience in the valuation industry within Australia and New Zealand. Mitchell re-joined Preston Rowe Paterson in 2022, after a 4 year stint at Darroch. He has broad range of experience including valuations and consultancy of office buildings, industrial buildings and shopping centres, through to specialised property including medical facilities and childcare centres for acquisition and disposal, financial reporting, insurance, rent review and mortgage purposes.

Mitchell currently focuses on a range of commercial and industrial property throughout the Auckland region.

He is a current committee member of the Auckland branches of the Property Institute of New Zealand and New Zealand Institute of Valuers.

Monique joined PRP in May 2026 and is based out of the Warkworth office. Monique brings over 13 years’ property industry experience across property management and consultancy roles within the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

Monique’s background spans both private and corporate environments, with experience in strategic property advisory, financial analysis, asset management, and stakeholder engagement. Monique has worked with a broad range of clients and organisations, including private high-net-worth individuals, leading APAC real estate management groups, and major international professional services firms.

Monique holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Master of Business Studies with Distinction from Massey University. Following a recent lifestyle change and shift to Kawau Island, Monique has transitioned into the valuation field, drawing on her established commercial property background while developing further experience across the commercial, residential, and lifestyle markets, and is working toward achieving registration.

Rhonda is our Office Manager. She has been working for us since 2016 and has been a big part of our growth.  With her banking background she has excellent insight into our client valuation needs and requirements and shares the passion of our overarching goal – “To provide great customer service and outcomes”. Rhonda fills her days working behind the scenes alongside Alex Haden with the business management and generally being the office “Mum”, where she has many “proud Mum moments”. Outside of work Rhonda and her family love to travel and go camping in their classic caravan. She likes to keep active with sports, particularly golf (as now retired from body breaking Netball)!

Rachel joined PRP in June 2025 and provides valuation support to our team. She has moved up from Palmerston North and is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business (Property).

In her spare time, she enjoys sports and outdoor activities, including football, cricket and ultimate frisbee

Growing up in a rural community, Sheryl developed a strong appreciation for the values of hard work, connection, and supporting the people around her.

Sheryl joined the PRP rural team this year, she enjoys being part of a team that is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and delivering exceptional service.

Outside of work, she is a proud mum to two adult daughters and is happiest when she is spending time with family and friends. On weekends, you’ll find her discovering local walks or packing up the caravan and heading off on an adventure with her husband.

Toby joined the PRP Tauranga team in September 2022 and specialises in valuing Commercial and Industrial properties. He also undertakes more specialised valuations including childcare centres and industrial facilities. Prior to joining PRP he spent over a decade in Perth, establishing a diverse property background including residential and strata management for an agency, asset and portfolio management for a prominent industrial developer, and a hybrid valuation / industrial management role for a well-known agency. Spare time for Toby is devoted to his young family however he also enjoys playing cricket for Greerton and watching a range of sports.

Tracey joined the at PRP team in 2018 and enjoys the people, the office vibe and the flexibility that PRP gives her. She supports the residential team, and more recently is learning the ropes in office management.  Born in Australia (but we don’t hold that against her), Tracey lives in Papamoa Beach and has 3 busy teens making her main role outside of work being a part-time taxi driver, taking her kids to all their various sporting activities! Walking up Pap Hills and getting to the beach to chill is her happy place.

As a Registered Valuer, Will has a genuine passion for the residential property market. Having recently made the move from Auckland, he’s excited to now call the Bay of Plenty home and focus on providing valuations for clients across Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, and the wider region.

Will possesses a unique perspective to work, having cut his teeth in the dynamic and fast-paced South Auckland market. That experience provided an invaluable grounding in a wide variety of properties and navigating complex market conditions. His goal now is to utilise that broad experience with a deep and continually growing understanding of the local market drivers here in the Bay.
