Happy Retirement Roger

In big news – Roger Hills has decided to call time on a long and successful valuation career at the end of this year. He feels that it is time to spend a bit more time doing some more leisurely things like bush walking, golf and thoroughbred horse form. Hopefully he might be able to back a few more winners at the TAB!

The retirement signals the end of a long and distinguished career of 38.5 years valuing and 32 years with this firm that many may not appreciate in terms of its significance.  Roger started this company as Roger Hills and Associates back in the day where associates was a euphemism for himself and a secretary who helped him prepare fully manually typed reports ranging from residential units through to commercial properties and 100 hectare farms all in the same day!  Any mistakes or changes in the report needed to be fully retyped which would make you seriously consider the implications of changes to wording!! The breadth of experience and effort that it took to cover off the whole WBOP market can’t be understated and is something that none of us could begin to contemplate today.

We all wish Roger the very best with retirement and know that he will continue to still be a familiar face in the office.
